Hello world!! So life has been great lately, lots of changes are about to happen in my life and I am so excited. First off, my best friend is getting married!!!! WOOO! I am the maid of honor! I am really excited for Kelsee :)
Another thing is that my friend of 11 years has accepted the gospel! I had a Book of Mormon I wrote my testimony in that I wanted to give to her for her 16th birthday but I chickened out. The summer before I came to college I decided to give the book to her, so I did. I was so nervous! But she was grateful and our relationship stayed the same. This was in August of 2008. In February of 2010 I got a facebook message from her saying she had lost my number and to text her. I texted her and asked how life was and she said good and that she had been reading from the book I had given to her. what?!?!! Oh my gosh! I was bursting with happiness! I couldn't contain myself. She then told me she was going to meet with the missionaries. WHOA! So when I was at home for a week between semesters I invited her over for dinner and I could tell she was changing, she was at peace. It was amazing. And she called me a few days later to tell me that she had set a baptismal date :) May 29. I am going home for it. I feel so blessed! It is amazing to me that Mercedez would accept the gospel. It has been one of my dreams for years. I am so thankful for her friend in arizona that invited her to church and who had gospel conversations with her. I hope that someday I will be able to go to Mercedez' wedding inside of the temple :)
Another new thing is that I am plannin on going to Jerusalem for winter semester 2011 study abroad! I am so excited! I think it will absolutely wonderful! I hope I get accepted into the program!
